THE PROBLEM:

What’s Happening in Jefferson County?

Jefferson County is facing a growing disconnect between law enforcement priorities and community safety.

  • Serious and complex crimes are too often deprioritized

  • Victims are left without follow-up or resolution

  • Deputies face unnecessary restrictions on proactive policing

  • Cooperation with federal law enforcement agencies is limited

  • The county jail has faced serious concerns over conditions and oversight

This isn’t about politics — it’s about public safety.

Why am I running?

Our system is failing the victims of crime.

I’m running for Sheriff because I’ve experienced firsthand what happens when the system fails victims.

After being the victim of harassment, vandalism, and other targeted crimes, I saw how difficult it can be to get justice.

Cases that require time and effort are too often left unresolved.

No one in Jefferson County should feel like they’re fighting for justice alone.

As Sheriff, I will ensure every case is taken seriously and every victim is treated with respect.

By putting our Deputies back to work for the victims and redirecting funding to the actual enforcement of our laws, we can end the crime epidemic facing Jefferson County.

Our Victims Advocates in Jefferson County will be empowered and given the tools they need to fight for justice for the victims they represent.

The infrastructure is there; it is the implementation that is failing.

That implementation takes leadership, and real leadership is lacking in the Sheriff's office.

My Priorities:

Let Deputies Do Their Jobs
Remove unnecessary restrictions and give deputies the authority and support they need to proactively protect our community.

Restore Law Enforcement Partnerships
Work with federal agencies like the FBI, ICE, DEA, and ATF to ensure criminals are held accountable at every level.

Focus on Real Crime
Prioritize violent crime, repeat offenders, and complex cases that impact victims — not just what’s easiest to close.

Put Victims First
Ensure consistent communication, follow-up, and support so no victim is left in the dark.

Fix the Jail
Restore the jail to a clean, properly equipped, and professionally managed facility that protects staff, inmates, and taxpayers.
